Course description

  • Full sized 18 hole golf course on gently undulating mature park land, providing a great test of golf to all levels of players.  
  • Length 6,400 yards, Par 72.  
  • Takes approximately fours hours to play 18 holes.  

Services

  • A members club operates from a listed building, providing bar and restaurant facilities and a full tournament calendar.  
  • A Golf Professional is based here.
  • Golf Buggies are available for hire (to guarantee that these are available for use during your visit please book at the professionals shop in advance).
  • Tee times can be booked 5 days in advance of play. 
  • Golf Lessons with the Professional are available.
  • A professionals golf shop providing an extensive range of equipment for sale or hire.  

Membership

  • New Members welcome.
  • Season tickets available from 1st April 2009.
  • Pro Rata Season Tickets can be obtained throughout the season (please enquire at the golf shop for further details).

Dress code  

  • City of Wakefield Golf Course does implement a relaxed dress code which consists of:
    • Trousers or smart jeans
    • Shirts must have collars and sleeves (no vests allowed)
    • Recognised golf shoes would be preferred
    • Smart fitted shorts (no cycling shorts or highly decorated bermuda shorts)
  • Staff can reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone dressed inappropriately.
