Get fit and healthy, stay active and save money with an Activate Leisure Card!

Activate is a leisure card that provides a discounted rate of approximately 20% on a wide range of exciting activities and sports provided by Wakefield Council’s Sport and Active Lifestyles.

If you are on any of the benefits listed on the proof of eligibility link or registered disabled, then you can apply for an Activate Leisure Card.

You can receive an Activate Card for £2 if:

• you receive any of the benefits listed below
• you are student over 17 years of age

Activate cards last for 12 months and can be used straight away. They can be renewed for £1 at any Sports and Active Lifestyles facility.

How do I apply?

Activate cards are available from any Sports and Active Lifestyles facility. All you need to do is:

• Complete an application form - you can download one from 'Downloads'
• Proof of eligibility - all proof must be in date (see list below)
• Hand in the application form -  to a reception at one of our facilities

What Activities can an Activate Card be used for?

Swimming, gym, fitness classes, badminton, table tennis, track running,
sauna and stream, water polo, golf.

Pugney’s - Private Launch, Day Buoyancy Aid, Day Canoe, Day Dinghy single, Day
Windsurfer, Pedalo, Kayak, Day Hire Wetsuit (not including bank holidays)

Carers

If you are a carer looking after someone who needs assistance when attending one of our Sport and Active Lifestyles facilities, you are entitled to participate in the same activity free of charge.
