Get fit and healthy, stay active and save money with an Activate Leisure Card!

The Activate Card is a leisure card available to everyone offering approximately 20% discount on a wide rant of sporting and physical activities in Wakefield District's Sport and Active Lifetyles facilities.

You can use an activate card if:

1. If you receive any listed on the leaflet (see downloads) or are a student aged 17 in full time education you can receive an the Activate Card free of charge.  The card lasts for us to 12 month.  The Activate card can be renewed annually at any of the Council's sports facilities
2. As part of the Swim 4 Free initiative anyone aged 16 and under or aged 60 and over can receive an Activate card free of charge.   The card is valid until the end of March 2011, or until the user becomes ineligible for a card*

*a young person who becomes 17 becfor the end of March 2011.

Activate cards are available from any Wakefield Council Sports Centre or Swimming Pool. All you need to do is:

• Complete an application form - these are available from all centres or you can download one from the website.
• A passport size photograph with you name on the back
• Proof of eligibility (see list below)
• Where necessary, the appropriate fee (for lost or replacement cards)

Carers

If you are a carer looking after someone who needs assistance when attending one of Wakefield Council's Sport and Active Lifetyles facilities, you are entitled to participate in the same activity free of charge.
