Gating Orders

The Council has powers to make gating orders on highways affected by crime and antisocial behaviour. Gating orders can be used to restrict public access to certain types of highways, without removing the underlying highway status.

The following Gating Order is in the process of consultation:

Path Gating Order

Location

Number 1, 2011

Crigglestone Footpath 24, Hall Lane to Stoney Lane and link path to Micklethwaite Road, Chapelthorpe

Please note: Gating Order No1 2011
It has been brought to our attention that the map accompanying the notice was incorrect. Accordingly a replacement map was issued on 8 August 2011 and is available to download.

As a result the period for representations has been extended to 8th September 2011.  If you have already made representations these will be considered and you do not need to submit them again.  However, if in light of the revised map you have any further representations you would like to make or if you have not submitted any and still wish to do so, please provide them in writing by this date.

See 'Downloads' for appropriate documents.
