The Wakefield Definitive Map – Consultation

The definitive map is a ‘legal’ record of public rights of way. A definitive map for Wakefield city has never been fully prepared, instead a working ‘non definitive map’ is used drawn from two surveys in 1952 and 1985.

No descriptionThe Public Rights of Way team are currently working to complete the definitive map for the former Wakefield County borough area.  In order for us to complete this we need to know if the information we have already is accurate and correct.

A display showing the mapped footpaths and bridleways was available at at various venues.  It was open to residents, landowners and the general public to view and leave any comments for consideration.

The consultation closed on 6 May 2011.
