The Creative Partners Grant Scheme for 2012/13 is now closed for applications.
We are delighted to announce that the following organisations have now been supported to deliver projects and programmes of activity for the benefit of local people and communities across the district from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013:
Raising Aspirations awards
Wakefield Council is committed to supporting cultural excellence and innovation and believes that strong cultural provision makes a real difference to the well being, health, happiness and life chances of people, places and communities.
We believe that cultural organisations make a vital contribution toward increasing the district’s aspirations to be a premier place for culture and to contribute towards improving the district’s profile and importance as a leading Yorkshire tourist destination.
The following organisations have been supported:
- Royal Theatre Wakefield – £155,000
- Yorkshire Sculpture Park – £200,000
Make it Happen awards
Wakefield Council is committed to supporting cultural excellence and innovation and believes that strong cultural provision makes a real difference to the well being, health, happiness and life chances of people, places and communities.
We believe that cultural organisations contribute towards increasing residents and communities participation resulting in improving skills and learning, building stronger communities and strengthening well being and health.
The following organisations have been supported:
- Art House –£25,000
- Faceless – £25,000
- One to One Development Trust – £12,000
- Pennine Camphill – £34,000
- St George’s Community Centre, Lupset /Yew Tree Theatre– £10,000
