Ossett is a small market town situated off Junction 40 (signed to Dewsbury) on the M1.  

The Town Hall is the focus of community life in Ossett. It has two rooms available for hire:-

• the Main Hall and 
• the Courthouse

At present the hall has a full programme of events but there are still times when it can be booked by the general public or used for commercial events.

The main hall has excellent acoustics and has been used on many occasions by the BBC from Manchester and Birmingham.  

The Main Hall is home to the Northern Theatre Organs Trust famous Compton Organ and regular concerts are held here. It can seat up to 400 for a concert and 200 for a party. There is a bar available.  

The Courthouse room is an intimate room. It can be used for small functions and is an ideal place for business seminars. It seats up to 60 people.

Facilities

There is a bar available in the main hall.   There are two dressing rooms and toilet facilities backstage  

Accessibility

Ossett Town Hall is fully accessible and compliant including:-

• disabled parking is available on public car parks adjacent to the hall.
• ramped access that allows access to both the public areas and into the Main hall. Both of the halls are on the ground level.
• an adapted toilet
• a flashing audible fire alarm system
• an induction loop is available in the Main Hall.
