My name is Debbie-Lea Pritchard and I am 17 years old.
I have got a years experience already as I have been busy working and representing young people in the South East area for the past year.
The skills I have are:-
- I am a good listener
- I am good at putting different peoples views forward which I may not agree with but stay professional after all I would be elected to represent you
My aim this year is to support the young people who are having difficulties’ with car insurance. I find that this is a vicious circle with young people wanting independence, trying to commute to places and find a job.
If you are 11-16 years of age and feel that it is not important or doesn’t apply to you….. Please re-think as I need you to consider this will be your problem in a few years time.
If I can act on this now and try to make a difference it will benefit you in the future
The work that I intend to do is as follows:-
- I want to negotiate with the leader of the council, car insurances’ in Wakefield and young people. it is never too late to change anything so why should we be penalised for our age?
- I believe in a fare and equal price then if we have an accident then the cost would go up. It feels like the car insurance companies are asking too much ….which means that we cannot afford to drive a 17!
