How well are we doing
To help us understand how well we are doing against our stated priorities, the Council has in place a framework of quarterly review meetings called ‘Clinics’. Clinics support the review, challenge and reporting of progress in terms of performance and finance, helping senior managers and members to focus on key areas of risk.
Clinics are supported by officers from Policy, Performance & Partnerships and from Finance. Please see related links for a headline overview of the information reported to Corporate Clinics.
How did we do last year
Overall, performance in service delivery over the course of 2010/11 continued to improve with almost two thirds of the Council’s 44 key performance measures showing real improvement from the previous year.
Furthermore, over 70% of all 176 performance indicators were maintained or improved during the same period. Similarly, good progress was achieved against corporate improvement priority actions, with 80% of the actions due for completion by the end of March 2011 being achieved.
Further details on progress against indicators, actions and corporate projects can be found in the Annual Performance Summary Report 2010/11 (see 'Downloads').
