Accountancy

The aim of the accountancy service is to provide high quality, value for money services which assist in the active management of all financial resources to ensure maximum benefit and minimum risk to the Authority.

Financial Services

Financial Services provides a key strategic role for the Council ensuring the financial management framework supports the delivery of the Council’s strategic priorities, whilst providing first class services to our customers and stakeholders.

The service is responsible for identifying the financial implications of policy and organisational developments and their impact on budgets and financial management arrangements. It also provides advice and support to services to enable them to effectively manage available resources, and that there is a clear focus across the Council on value for money and effective financial management.

The provision of high quality services and better outcomes for citizens is the overall aim of the service.
