Graham was educated at Ferry Fryston Secondary Modern School. He worked within the Chemical Industry in Knottingley for 28 years and has been a Wakefield District Councillor since 1983.

Graham is married to Linda and they have two sons, Darren and Stuart.

Interests include Camping, Cycling, Keeping Fit, Rugby League (Castleford Supporter), and Music.

The Surgery Venue has access via a ramp with easy wheelchair access within, plus parking facilities (including 2 disabled bays).
