The staff at Pontefract Registration and Wakefield Register Offices are here to help you by making the process of registering the death as straightforward as possible.

Tell Us Once

When someone has died there are lots of things that need to be done, at a time when grieving relatives probably least feel like doing them.

From the 29 November 2011 Wakefield citizens who register a death will be able to inform other local and central government departments at the same time. This new service, which is free of charge, will save customers time by passing on information, with their consent, on their behalf.
