Manually search the burial records
You are welcome to visit any area cemetery office to inspect the records free of charge. To do this you must contact us to make an appointment.
If you are unable to visit in person we can do a manual search for you. The current fee is £18.00 per person, for each period of five years searched, (this includes two years prior to the date given and three years after).
In order to conduct a search on your behalf we need you to complete either a 'Request for search of cemetry records' or a 'Request for search of crematorium records' which includes the following information:
- Cemetery/Crematorium
- Name of deceased
- Year of death
Both the 'Request for search of cemetry records' and the 'Request for search of crematorium records' forms can be found under 'Downloads'. Please return to us with the details of required searches and the appropriate fee. The payment is required in advance by cheque (payable to WMDC) or cash to the Bereavement Services office, Block B, Normanton Town Hall, Normanton, WF6 2DZ.
