Conference venues in the Wakefield District

The City of Wakefield and its surrounding area offers a wide and diverse range of meeting and conference venues. From historic houses to brand new facilities and from a meeting on a lake to one at a coal mine, there is a venue for your meeting or conference, seminar or product launch.

Situated at the crossroads of the country's main motorway system, close to three international airports and less than two hours from London by rail Wakefield is ideally situated for regional, national and international gatherings.

Modern, residential venues include hotels such as the Cedar Court Hotel and Holiday Inn, which are both adjacent to the M1 or the Waterton Park Hotel which is situated on the mainland across the bridge from its island bound historic 'sister' venue of Walton Hall.

Other historic country house settings include the Jacobean Rogerthorpe Manor the elegant Wentbridge House and the 17th Century Woolley Hall, all surrounded by extensive grounds.

The National Coal Mining Museum for England, Newmillerdam Boathouse, Hatfield Hall and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park offer a more unusual venue for your meeting.

The Wakefield Conference Directory contains details of conference venues throughout the District. (For a PDF copy see 'Downloads').
