Council Tax Benefit

If you're on a low income or are finding it hard to pay your council tax, you might be able to get help to pay all or part of it through Council Tax Benefit.

If you're not sure whether you might qualify for help let us work it out for you. Our staff will be happy to calculate your possible entitlement before you make a claim. It's free and it could save you money. Simply contact us on 0845 8504504 or call into our reception area at Civic Centre, Castleford. From early 2009 a new Housing and Council Tax Benefit calculator will be available on line for you to check your possible entitlement.

Council Tax Benefit gives 2 types of help:-

  • Main Rebate
  • Second Adult Rebate
