Have your say on the new Community Legal Advice service

Wakefield Council and the Legal Services Commission (LSC) are working together to develop a new Community Legal Advice service for the citizens of Wakefield.

This joint initiative will take the form of a Community Legal Advice Service and will be only the fifth of its kind in the country. The new service will combine social welfare services such as housing and debt advice with civil legal aid.

In May 2009, we ran a public consultation to let local people have their say and voice their opinions on the new Community Legal Advice service

  • You can download a report outlining the full response of this consultation in 'Downloads'

Following this consultation with interested parties, a tender process will be held to find the best advice providers to run the service.
