Wakefield Business Demography 2009
The Business Demography dataset includes births, deaths and survivals of UK enterprises and is available at local authority district level. Results released on 1 December 2010 show the number of active enterprises in the Wakefield district at a record high with a provisional figure of 8,900 at 2009.
The number of business deaths was also at a record high and there was a slight increase on the number of business births on the previous year’s figures.
